Charlotte Hatherley, formally of the fantastic band Ash, has commented that shes not so sure that it was a mutual split when she left the band recently.It is still her contention that the band and her were going in different directions musically and that, the "boys" as she called them, were leaning towards an American musical influence, when she was not.
She went on to say that although the split was amicable, she feels like the band wanted to go back to being a 3 piece, meaning continuing on without her...
American musical influence?? This worries me. Let's hope this means something positive and not that Ash is going to begin to start sounding like Hinder or something...
I've already lost Our Lady Peace because they moved in "that direction," I'm not going to lose you too Ash...
